I think sunsets are just one of God's way of giving us a glimpse into Heaven. I got to spend the weekend down at Wrightsville Beach. I spent Friday night with my boys watching the sunset, waiting on my friends to get down here. My best friends from high school drove down to have a girl's weekend with me! Chambliss, Megan B., Megan M and I enjoyed sitting on the porch, drinking coffee, eating breakfast burritos, walking, and watching the sunset on the Intracoastal Waterway. And if you are wondering about Mariah Carey, Chambliss was dying to play this old school CD for us, and it was perfect for our night out on the town. We ended the night with some Fuzzy Peach frozen yogurt- YUMMM! I was sad to see them leave on Sunday but we all had to get back home to our kids(except Cham:) I'm so thankful for great friends and hope we can do it again soon!

Strength for the Day
Wanted to share this wonderful poem written by my friend's mom.
Strength for the Day- by Sherrill Schlimpert
I sit here refreshed
After the incense
Of time spent alone with You
Again, I am moved
As You have behooved
To reveal another truth.
My heart overflows
Because it now knows
The One Who can fill it, and so
I kneel in the morn
For at Your feet I'm reborn
I'm amazed that You I can know.
Im so grateful for this time
When you allow me to climb
Into Your lap, where I want to stay.
For here all is peace.
I find such release
As I hear comfort
In the words You say.
But now, I must go
For You've called me to show
To others what I've found in YOu.
Though strength I lack,
Your provision I pack
As I embark on the tasks
I must do.
So help me Lord,
To keep your word
In front as I go on my way
It's so easy to lose sight,
To walk out of Your light,
As I confront
The tasks of my day.
Give me Your strength
Which I need at great length
To accomplish what lies before me
My feet move slow.
So take me in tow.
Beyond myself let me see.
Use this weary frame
To just take the next step.
For in You, peace is kept.
May all I do, praise your Name.

Whooo's too cute- 6 month pictures!
We had so much fun taking these pictures. Can you tell I love my new camera?!!! I was going to take him in for professional ones, but we're going to wait until the spring when he is 9 months. So Matt and I threw that really fun colored blanket behind him and started shooting pictures. In most of the pictures, I dressed him in the very traditional Feltman Bro's outfit, which happened to be Matt's baby outfit. I wanted to post more, but it only lets me download a few at a time. It's really fun now that he is sitting up, as most of you know, he never wanted to be on his back. He has been trying to sit up since he was 2 weeks old:) Would love your opinion on your favorite one, because I usually frame one every few months. I will post more of them soon!

Taking Matthew back to Reynolds Coliseum

It was so neat to take Matthew back to the place where I played college basketball. It was a little surreal, thinking just a few years ago I was in the shoes of these young girls running up and down the court. I was very fortunate to have played for one of the best coaches in college basketball. To celebrate her life and raise money for breast cancer, all formal players gather for an alumni weekend, also knows as Hoops for Hope. Everything in the gym was pink- the team uniforms, shoes, Coach Harper's high heels, balloons, T-shirts, etc. However, I did not dress Matthew in pink- he represented in his RED wolfpack outfit. Here are a few pics from the weekend. I wish Matt could have joined us, but maybe next year, it will be a family trip:) (Not to mention, how worn out I was Sunday afternoon!)
